Babil Khan, son of the well-known actor Irrfan Khan, recently emerged following the intense emotional video of his going viral on social media platforms. In the clip, Khan openly criticises Bollywood for being the only “fake,” “rude,” and “nasty” industry he’s ever come across, whilst brazenly calling out some of the most important stars.
In the clip, Babil is crying, appearing broken, while narrating his journey in the relentless world of cinema. He talks about celebrities like Ananya Panday, Arjun Kapoor, Shanaya Kapoor, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Raghav Juyal, Adarsh Gourav and even the Singer Arijit Singh and the coldness he feels surrounding the industry.
Babil quickly shared the video through an Instagram story feature and deleted it moments later. Ultimately, he chose to forget his entire Instagram account, which worried even on looking at his history towards his overall mental wellbeing. Care, in comparison, has taken to the art of eloquence, where they seem on Twitter and Reddit and is overwhelmed with rising X fears for the young actor, almost on Netflix.
Babil Khan, who started his career with the renowned movie Qala in 2022, is gradually making a mark in Bollywood like his father, the late Irrfan Khan, who died of cancer in 2020.
Hearing the news
Fans and industry insiders have collectively requested him to seek help and pointed out that he is not alone in his struggles. Mental health advocates for his case in the entertainment industry’s stress-laden environment for their emotional wellbeing.
During this time away from the limelight, many wish he could get the proper care and motivation to help him through this challenging phase.
Babil Khan called out Ananya Panday and others in a scathing video where he harshly critiqued Bollywood. Following the release of Khan’s video, Panday shared a series of personal moments on her Instagram with a somewhat perplexing quote from Hagrid, “What’s comin’ will come, and we’ll meet it when it does.” In her caption, she noted, “Final touches and a little bit of this and that,” further adding to the speculation around her post.
In the now-deleted video, Babil expressed that he finds “Bollywood so f***ed” and “rude” while also naming Ananya Panday. Strangers and acquaintances alike have expressed anger towards the industry and its superficiality. After uploading the video, Bharil deleted the clip and deactivated his Instagram account. This led to a larger discussion around the TikTok star’s mental health after he lost access to social media.
To this very moment, Ananya “Paya” has decided not to make a public statement regarding the criticisms made by Babil Khan. His post, familiar to many, proclaims that without “controversy,” there are no winners.
