Monalisa Bhosle: The Viral Girl
Monalisa Bhosle is a 16-year-old girl from Maheshwar in Madhya Pradesh who came into the limelight during the 2025 Mahakumbh Mela in Prayagraj. An internet influencer posted a few pictures of her, and she instantly gained huge popularity – thanks to her attractive body and dynamic amber eyes. Monalisa Bhosale did benefit from this fame. However, fame also had its challenges.
Due to the vast gathering of people celebrating the Mahakumbh, it became nearly impossible for her to continue selling garlands, as everyone was trying to take pictures with her. Because of this, her family decided it was best for her to stay home in Maheshwar for her safety.
In an interesting new development, Monalisa was offered a role in ‘The Diary of Manipur’ by the filmmaker Sanoj Mishra, who is well known for ‘The Diary of West Bengal.’ Mishra traveled to Monalisa’s village to talk to her family about her concerns regarding the film industry while giving them the film opportunity. In her excitement, Monalisa told the filmmaker that it had always been her dream to act since she was a kid.
Monalisa will prepare for her role after three months of acting training in Mumbai. The film’s story is about the daughter of a retired soldier from Manipur, and it closely resembles Monalisa’s past. In the film, veteran Anupam Kher is also expected to have a significant role.
Monalisa’s life story, from being a garland seller to her dream of becoming an actress, shows the challenges of new-age fame, the opportunities it creates, and the potential it carries. Now, with her supportive family and mentors from the industry, she is ready to pursue her newfound passion for acting.
